DALTON, Ga. — Syntec Industries proudly announces the retirement of Tina Sodemann, honoring an extraordinary career spanning nearly four decades in the marine industry, including the last 16 years with Syntec Industries.
Throughout her career, Tina became widely respected not only for her industry knowledge and sales leadership, but also for the lasting relationships and mentorship she cultivated along the way. Prior to joining Syntec Industries, Tina spent 22 years with G&T Industries where she served as both Customer Service Manager and Sales Representative.
Joining Syntec during one of the most challenging economic periods in recent history, Tina played a pivotal role in expanding the company’s marine business. From 2010 through 2017, she successfully grew her territory by 65 percent while helping strengthen Syntec’s presence and reputation throughout the marine industry.
In recognition of her contributions and leadership, Tina was named to the prestigious Women Making Waves Class of 2024 — an honor celebrating influential women helping shape the future of the marine industry.
“What I’ve loved most about the marine industry is the people and relationships,” said Sodemann. “If you work hard, know your product, and truly care about what you do, this industry can be incredibly rewarding.”
Tina credits integrity, follow-through, and respect as foundational principles that guided her career. Entering the marine industry at a time when few women held sales positions, she earned the trust and respect of customers and peers alike through deep product knowledge, professionalism, and perseverance.
One of her proudest career accomplishments came early on when she successfully maintained a major account following the retirement of her mentor — overcoming doubts from others and proving her capabilities through performance and dedication.
Beyond her sales achievements, Tina has also become a passionate advocate and mentor for women entering the marine industry. She encourages young professionals to pursue opportunities confidently, seek strong mentors, and build careers grounded in hard work and authenticity.
Having worked alongside Tina for more than a decade, the Syntec team recognizes her not only as an exceptional sales professional, but as a trusted friend and valued part of the company family.
